Who can be a foster parent:

• Single or married
• With or without children of your own
• Must be in sufficient good health
• Must be 21 years of age
• Homeowners or renters

Interested? You must be able to:

• Secure and maintain state foster home licensing with the assistance of DCCCA Staff
• Give without the expectation of immediate returns
• Have room in your home and in your daily life
• Learn to use proven behavioral management skills
• Love and care for children with challenges
• Maintain confidentiality regarding the child and his or her circumstances
