The aftermath of a suicide can deeply affect a community, rippling through families, friends, coworkers, schools, and faith communities. Connect Postvention Training equips service providers with the skills and knowledge needed to respond effectively to a suicide or sudden death, helping to support healing while reducing future risk of additional deaths by suicide. Postvention is not just a response, but an essential part of suicide prevention. Given that knowing someone who has died by suicide is a significant risk factor, postvention plays a critical role in reducing suicide rates and promoting long-term wellness.
