QPR
QPR is a one hour gatekeeper training that covers:

  • How to get help for someone in crisis
  • How to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal
  • How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide
  • The common causes of suicidal behavior
  • The warning signs of suicide

Youth Mental Health First Aid
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18.

Who should take Youth Mental Health First Aid? Teachers, school staff, coaches, camp counselors, youth group leaders, parents, foster caregivers, or anyone adult who works with youth.

MHFA does not cover how to diagnose or treat a mental health or substance use challenge.

Conversations on Access to Lethal Means (CALM)
CALM teaches participants the role of reducing lethal means in preventing suicides, how to discuss lethal means with clients, what secure storage options are available, and how to follow a long-term plan for reducing access to lethal means.

Who should attend? CALM is primarily designed for mental health professionals, however anyone who works with people at risk of suicide may benefit from this training.
