Description: The Kansas Prescription Drug and Opioid Advisory Committee present the Community of Practice Education Series. The first installment will feature a presentation by Dr. Luke Rosebraugh titled Beware the Shopkeep’s Potions! Tidings of Retail Kratom and 7-OH. Continuing education credit will be offered to physicians, nurses, behavioral health professionals and social workers at no cost. The Zoom link will be provided in the confirmation email.Â

After this presentation, participants will be able to:Â
- Describe Kratom and its geographical origins
- Describe 7-OH Kratom and differentiate it from Kratom
- Explain risks of Kratom use and toxicity
- Identify use and withdrawal syndrome
- Ask patients nonjudgemental questions to assess potential use
- Recognize strategies used to treat kratom use disorder.
