Our residential programs offer an integrated approach designed to reduce barriers to long-term recovery. DCCCA is among the few providers in Kansas where women can receive treatment while caring for their children, supporting family healing and early prevention. Services include social detox, individual and group therapy, life-skills coaching, medical and wellness services, mental health support, family engagement, and parenting education. We also assist clients with employment, housing, and education to promote lasting stability.

DCCCA believes that women should not have to leave their children to participate in treatment. Our women’s programs house fully licensed child care facilities that allow women to seek treatment without the anxiety of separation from their families. Children receive special attention in the licensed child care facility, or attend school, while their mothers are involved in treatment activities. At meal times, at bedtime, or during leisure time, mothers may receive hands on teaching and role modeling from staff as they navigate the joys and challenges of parenting without substance use. Mothers are assisted in accessing community resources to address their children’s physical, emotional, and educational needs. Pregnant women participate in extensive well-baby services, often returning to the residential program after their babies are born to continue their recovery.
