All staff are required to take the DCCCA-CALM (counseling on access to lethal means) suicide prevention training in 2026. Staff will leave this training equipped with knowledge of the warning signs of suicide, skills to respond effectively to a suicidal crisis, the ability to guide someone through a lethal means safety plan, and access to an abundance of DCCCA resources. Once a staff registers via the intranet calendar, they will get a calendar invite that will include the zoom link for the training.
