Kansas Certified Peer Mentors
Peers are people with experience in long-term recovery. Peer Mentors provide emotional support, information support, instructional support, and companionship.
Services
- Initial phone call
- Brief screening
- Detox phone screening and peer will meet you in the community within 30 minutes of completing the screening process
Follow Up
- Peer follows up with detox facility
- Ensures Alcohol/Drug Assessment is administered
- Assistance with community resources and coordinating treatment after detox
Douglas County Peer-Led Detox Program
DCCCA Peer Support Services engage those in need of social detox. These services include an initial phone screening, in-person meeting, and if appropriate, a referral to a detox facility, including transportation to and from the facility.
Hours of operation: Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Transportation
No cost transportation provided to and from the detox center. This includes any belongings or medications necessary for detox program completion.
