Improving Lives…Close to Home transitional housing project.
Home Starts Here: A Housewarming Benefit is a breakfast fundraiser supporting DCCCA’s Close to Home Project, an initiative providing transitional housing for women in recovery and their children in Douglas County.
This event is more than a meal—it’s a community effort to turn houses into homes.
Funds raised will directly support the furnishing of ten new duplexes, helping create safe, comfortable, and welcoming living spaces where families can heal, rebuild, and thrive. Within this supportive community, residents will have access to treatment at DCCCA, childcare, educational pathways, and employment support.
While the homes will serve Douglas County families, the project is designed as a model for recovery-focused housing that can be replicated across the state. By joining us, sponsors and donors will help transform these units into places of hope, stability, and new beginnings.
