Burnout is a reality for many foster parents. Meeting the every-day demands of children in their care can take its toll. At DCCCA our mission is to support foster families, to strengthen them, as well as making sure they have the tools they need to support kids in the difficult journey of foster care. The Foster Family Conference provides foster families with an opportunity to gather together for family fun, training, and connection with other foster families.
The theme for our 3rd annual Foster Family Conference, April 11th and 12th, 2023, is Spark Something Great. With well-known speakers, waterpark activities, delicious food and time for family relaxation, this conference will be a chance for foster families to rekindle the spark they have for foster care and continue to move forward with this difficult but necessary work.
What previous participants had to say…
“This was the first family vacation that our foster son has ever been able to attend. He has autism, and it is very hard to go places like this with him. He had a lot of anxiety before and during the trip, but on the way home he just kept repeating how that was the best vacation ever and how much fun he had. It was great to be able to leave him with DCCCA staff that I knew understood his special needs and would take good care of him!”
“I loved being able to get quality training hours done in just a couple of days. It was also incredible to have childcare provided in such a fun environment! For our foster kids, it’s a big highlight when there aren’t many things they look forward to.”

“DCCCA, you outdid yourself! Your staff went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and enjoying ourselves. It was an amazing getaway and reset for our family. Thank you!!”
This conference is for DCCCA homes only. Registration is through the Foster Family website.
