The Child Placing Agency Specialist provides on-going support services to foster families which includes assisting with children placed within the home. Under supervision of the Child Placing Agency Supervisor and while working closely with other assigned staff, Child Placing Agency Specialists will provide intake services and assist with placement recommendations and/or service planning. The Child Placing Agency Specialist will also help by recruiting and training foster families while also providing emotional support, professional guidance and crisis assistance.

The START (Sobriety Treatment and Recovery Team) Case Manager works with families where parental substance use is a concern to assist in the treatment and recovery process. The Case Manager provides for the safety, stability and well-being of children and families by delivering and coordinating culturally competent case management services that are responsive to the unique needs of the family.

The CPA SED (Serious Emotional Disturbance) Waiver Specialist provides on-going support services to foster families. Under the supervision of the CPA Coordinator and while working closely with other assigned staff, the CPA Waiver Specialist will provide intake services and assist with placement recommendations and/or service planning. The CPA Waiver Specialist also assists with recruiting and training foster families while also providing support, professional guidance and crisis assistance.

The Food Services Manager oversees food services, purchases food products and maintains hygiene standards for the program kitchen and dining room areas.

The CPA Operations Assistant II facilitates the effective flow of communication and other information throughout the program. The Operations Assistant II also offers accounting/billing support and contributes to other projects related to the facilitation of agency programming and activities.

The Family Mentor provides one-on-one support to clients by offering guidance and support to people who are struggling with substance abuse. The Family Mentor works closely with a variety of professionals to connect parents to treatment resources and provides for the safety and well-being of the children and families by delivering culturally competent services to the unique needs of the family.

The Business Systems Administrator plans, leads, directs, develops, and coordinates policies and activities related to DCCCA’s business systems. The Administrator ensures legal compliance and strategic implementation of DCCCA’s information systems processes including computer, communication, data, and office systems.

The Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) will be responsible for ensuring the safety and accountability of the residents within our rehabilitation facility, while maintaining a trusting and nonjudgmental demeanor. They will run the front desk and take incoming calls, as well as oversee the residents’ daily schedule, creating a sense of structure for our clients. This includes tracking clients’ activities, meals, chores, therapy sessions, and more. The RSS will be provided with on-the-job training to administer medication, perform intake for new residents, conduct room checks, and log necessary documentation. This individual should be able to work independently when needed and maintain professional relationships while supporting clients in the facility. The OK SAFE Program Specialist works to bring awareness of the importance of seatbelts to young teens across Oklahoma through the promotion and implementation of the OK SAFE (Seatbelts Are for Everyone) Program. The OK SAFE Program Specialist (Metro) position will focus on building relationships with high schools in Metro OKC and the surrounding counties to implement the OK SAFE program to full fidelity including a student baseline survey, monthly educational activities, an enforcement period with law enforcement, and a final student survey. This includes meeting with schools to recruit new participants, providing program training to school sponsors, providing support for schools to build educational plans, ensuring schools in the program have adequate supplies to perform surveys, daily documentation of tasks, and a monthly summary of program activities. The OK SAFE Program Specialist will collaborate with OHSO (Oklahoma Highway Safety Office) and the Rural focused OK SAFE Program Specialist with guidance from the Director of Oklahoma Community Initiatives to meet program outcomes. The Child Welfare Therapist provides for the safety, stability and well-being of children and families by delivering and coordinating culturally competent therapeutic services that are responsive to the unique needs of each family. The Child Welfare Therapist works with clients to engage in services, complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual, group and family counseling.

DCCCA is looking for Recovery Support Specialists (also known in the industry as Behavioral Health Technicians) to serve at our First Step at Lake View facility. Recovery Support Specialists serve an integral role in clients’ substance abuse recovery. Successful candidates provide a safe and structured environment for clients. Family Mentors provide support to parents who are experiencing substance use. The Family Mentor will partner with parents through the treatment and recovery process and provide ongoing sobriety support. A Case Manager is also assigned to the family. The Case Manager and Family Mentor work with the entire family on issues related to addiction, stability, and overall safety and well-being with a goal of long-term success. The Community Support Specialist provides consultation, technical assistance, and training services to community coalitions, in collaboration with the Kansas Department on Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), the Kansas Prevention Partnership Network (KPPN), and other statewide prevention contractors.

DCCCA’s Therapeutic Family Foster Home Program manages family foster homes providing 24-hour care for children and youth with high acuity needs. This position oversees the recruitment and selection of qualified Therapeutic Family Foster homes and Therapeutic Family Foster Home Respite Providers equipped to serve children in foster care as well as children currently receiving prevention services. The recruiter also connects with and enlists other community resources and supports to assist in serving children in Therapeutic Family Foster homes.

DCCCA’s Therapeutic Family Foster Home Program manages family foster homes providing 24-hour care for children and youth with high acuity needs This position oversees the work of specialists and support workers providing services to Therapeutic Foster Families and the children placed in their home. Under supervision of the Child Placing Agency Director, the Therapeutic Family Foster Home Supervisor will assist with staff training, continuing education, and personal support. The supervisor will also monitor compliance with program specifications, DCF and COA regulations, and adherence to the agency’s mission and values.

The BI works with all families, regardless of skill levels, family dynamics or home conditions.

Peer Support Specialists serve an integral role in clients’ substance use disorder recovery. Specifically, Peers engage with clients arriving for treatment who may need access to social detox services, by describing their role as a Peer, what social detox is, and what to expect. Peers are advocates for clients; they collaborate with community partners, conduct social detox screenings, determine best placement for services, and transport clients to social detox locations.

The Child Placing Agency (CPA) Quality Systems Specialist initiates and coordinates quality improvement projects in accordance with DCCCA’s Quality Improvement plan. DCCCA has been a licensed Child Placing Agency in the state of Kansas since 2001. CPA staff work with foster parents to assist in providing the best possible services for children and families.
