2021 Kansas Youth Community Change Conference (KYC3)

     June 1, 2021 - June 15, 2021
     7:00 pm

The personal information provided on this registration form is where we will communicate with you about the conference and where your prize package will be mailed. It will only be used by DCCCA/Kansas Youth Community Change Conference for conference purposes and will NOT be shared with anyone else.

This will be an action-packed virtual event where you’ll expand your leadership skills, engage with other youth across the state, and take action to promote positive change in your community!

Prizes for Participation

  • Any Kansas middle or high school aged youth who registers for the conference and attends at least one session will receive a KYC3 t-shirt!
  • Every Kansas middle or high school aged youth who attend 5+ sessions will receive a KYC3 prize pack that includes:
    • – A KYC3 t-shirt, fidget block, pop socket, tangle puzzle, mini-coloring book, notebook and pen, two stickers, and a self-care journal
  •  Every Kansas middle of high school aged youth who attends 8+ sessions live will be entered into a giveaway for a Nintendo Switch!

Please note that while out of state youth are welcome to participate in virtual KYC3, only Kansas youth are eligible to receive KYC3 t-shirts and prizes due to funding restrictions.

FAQ

Q: Is there a deadline to register for virtual KYC3?
A: Yes, the deadline to register is Monday, May 31st.

Q: Can I register after the start of the virtual conference?
A: No, one the conference has started you will no longer be able to register.

Q: Can I attend a session that I don’t register for?
A: Yes, you can attend a session you don’t register for, but if at all possible, please register beforehand so 1) the presenters know how many participants are planning to attend and 2) we know where to send your prize!

Q: What if I mark that I am interested in attending a session but I can’t make it?
A: That’s okay! Email Lydia at lfuqua@dccca.org to let her know you can’t attend the live session. Sessions will be recorded and made available to view after the live session has concluded, so you can always check it out at a later date.

Q: Can I still receive prizes if I view a recorded session?
A: Yes, you can still receive prizes for viewing recorded sessions. You must view the recorded session(s) by June 18th to receive a prize pack.

Q: I am from a state other than Kansas. Am I still welcome to participate in KYC3?
A: Absolutely! Please feel free to join our virtual sessions! Be sure to share which state your from when you register to attend KYC3. Please note that while out of state youth are welcome to participate in KYC3, only Kansas youth are eligible to receive KYC3 t-shirts and prizes due to funding restrictions.

Q: When will we receive KYC3 prizes?
A: Prizes will be mailed out June 16th-18th, 2021.
