This course is designed to prepare attendees for first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Attendees will also learn how to administer Naloxone in opioid overdose emergencies and will receive a Naloxone kit.

This course provides an overview of several important ethical issues that social workers, counselors, and other behavioral health professionals may face.  It is designed to heighten general awareness of legal and ethical concerns, including models for ethical decision making, multiple relationships (intentional/unintentional) and information concerning minor patients.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. During this training, participants will learn how to recognize suicide warning signs, intervene with QPR, and how to offer emotional support while making an expert referral.

This course will provide a concise review of diagnostic criteria associated with the most common disorders and highlights important features, such as subtypes/specifiers and differential diagnoses.

The Summit brings together the network of Chronic Disease Risk Reduction grantees from across the state alongside local health coalition members and other advocates for public health, prevention and health equity.

This one-day summit is an opportunity for anyone in Kansas who is a facilitator in any suicide prevention trainings. Throughout the day, participants will hear from experts in suicide prevention and have a chance to collaborate and build relationships with other trainers across the state.
