Please join us to explore and learn more about the opioid crisis in Kansas .

Speakers in each session will discuss strategies regarding how to address the crisis through the different lenses of Prescribing, Prevention, Treatment & Recovery, Law Enforcement, and Clinical Intervention with the unique voices of their professional experience.

Engaging together in this proactive effort we can build a collaborative response to prevent escalation of this crisis in Kansas.

  • Prevention Specialists,  Community Coalitions, Public Health Professionals, Educators, Legislators
  •  Treatment providers, Addiction Specialists
  • Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Services

 

Attendees will gain awareness of the impact of the prescription drug and opioid crisis in our state, be able to identify the effect of opioids on the brain and body, explore evidence-based strategies for prescription drug and opioid misuse prevention and treatment, including best practices for opioid prescribing, and engage in meaningful dialogue with other professionals across the state of Kansas.
