DCCCA is recruiting for Peer Support Specialists (also known in the industry as Recovery Coaches and Peer Mentors) to serve in Lawrence Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department. Peer Support Specialists serve an integral role in clients’ substance use disorder recovery. Specifically, Peers engage with clients arriving in the Emergency Department who may need access to social detox services, by describing their role as a Peer, what social detox is, and what to expect. Peers are advocates for clients; they collaborate with community partners, conduct social detox screenings, determine best placement for services, and transport clients to social detox locations. We are looking for candidates with at least two years of demonstrated personal recovery experience. Successful candidates are compassionate, are self-motivated, gauge risk, and can establish positive working relationships with community partners. This position, located in the Emergency Department, also requires a high level of mental and emotional resilience.

Administrative Assistant - Oklahoma
Edmond, OK
DCCCA's Community-Based Services program in Oklahoma works with local community coalitions to design a comprehensive approach to address non-medical use of prescription drugs among youth ages 12-15. Additionally the program provides Mental Health First Aid Training for the State of Oklahoma and administers the SAFE (teen traffic safety) program. The Administrative Assistant facilitates the flow of communication and other information throughout the department and contributes to the facilitation of agency-programming and activities.

Chief Behavioral Health Officer
